Straight Talk Sex Ed for Teens

Southern Maryland Area Secular Humanists (SMASH) is  pleased to present “Straight Talk Sex Ed for Teens” with sex educator Bianca Palmisano on Sunday, May 21 at 2:00pm at the Lexington Park Library.

Teens have questions about sexual health, whether its birth control, lubricants, STI testing, LGBTQ relationships, or something else completely. This will be an informal workshop where your teen can ask ANY sexual health question you want and get an honest answer. This class will cover:

  • Basic Anatomy and Physiology
  • Basic STIs Information and Prevention
  • Boundaries and Consent
  • Answer Questions Anonymously

Parental consent will be required for the teens to attend. The workshop format is “Teens Only”, by registering your child, you are agreeing to this format. Parents are welcome to wait in the general Library areas, or in the other room we have reserved.

We will be serving pizza and drinks – we will do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions if you inform us of them.

Southern Maryland Area Secular Humanists is hosting this event, however you do not need to be non-religious for your teen to attend, as discussion of religion is not the topic of the meeting and is not on the agenda.
